Wailing Wall Sept Saturday 17

Today, Geoff (The Aircraft) was engaged in spot filling the screw holes with white gloss on the new Tickets & Strains sign. Despite our best intentions, other jobs prevented this sign finally being fixed in place. Apologies for this, as you will learn later.

During the morning, Colin (The Fireman) and I were asked to assist Bob (The Money) in setting into the ground two 16ft steel I beams at the edge of the road past the ash pile. Fortunately, Bob had already dug the hole, which was 4'6" deep. After considerable manoeuvring with the JCB, both beams were positioned and finally locked into position with plenty of concrete.
.

After lunch we were instrumental in erecting all of the walls of the new shed for the 82045 boys, on the concrete pad previously laid by the Wailing Wall some time ago.

Sadly, the roof could not be fixed, as the requisite J bolts were not delivered with the rest of the shed...
