Wailing Wall Sept: Tuesday 20

As promised, the new 'Tickets & Trains' sign is now in situ, and even if I do say it myself, it looks well in keeping with our 'heritage' brief...

Elsewhere, we have replaced the broken top rail of the Railwayman's Arms sign in the lower car park, and applied a coat of white primer to the new wood.

We have finally managed to erect the large gazebo over the picnic tables outside the buffet. It has been tied down and weighted with brake blocks, so hopefully it will remain for the duration of the weekend.

We have made a temporary repair to the damaged fourth step of the footbridge on platform 2. It appears that a new hardwood step will be required when finances permit.

Those present today were Colin, Alan (The Cricket), Adam, and yours truly. An early day was had by all, after repeated soakings due to the typical British summer weather.
