Marching on

14 March - blog report from the Teen Team

Well, back in overalls again from the events of last weekend; nice to be back. I know, pathetic, but humour me.

Today we've completed top coats on most of the bench panels using a decidedly larger task force, including a team of eight RAF officers. May I quickly express a joint thank you for their work today - they made great progress on our usually slow work pace - so thank you again.

During the afternoon we took to the railings and continued red oxiding and light stone top coating. We have now completed the oxiding on the railings north of the road turnnel. We shall continue painting beyond there next weekend.

Overall, a thoroughly progressing day and thank you to anyone who participated.

7 March - blog report from the Teen Team

We started the day off with the 9.50 with 5164 on the front. The next arrival was from Erlstoke Manor but the next was what everyone was interested in - the Duke. After that had gone, my Dad rang me and said he could hear it from the house - he thought it was struggling but I explained to him that it was Oliver Cromwell and he would hear it. by Chris

Today's steam gala has been a great success, as usual; I mean, would you expect anything else? Each and every one of the visiting locos have proved to be thoroughly popular with the punters. The station site has not seen more onlookers since the great floods. Steam in later for more updates! by Adam

The day's events have been great, and we look forward to a brilliant day tomorrow, or something along those lines...
