Wailing Wall September wk1

reported 3 September
Apparently, there was some sort of model railway gathering going on in Telford. As a consequence, only Colin (The Fireman) and yours truly were available to carry on with vital infrastructure repairs. However, between us we managed to complete the ceiling in the reinstated retail stock room.
The next job we shall be tackling will be the manufacture of the plaster of Paris cornice sections to complete the booking hall entrance porch. It is important that these items are completed prior to the onset of cold and possibly frosty weather. Apart from any other considerations, this will finally complete the project. Chalkie (The Fat Controller) says we must take stock of the started, but as yet uncompleted, jobs. I totally concur, hence the operation outlined.

Today, Alan (The Cricket) and I gave the newly completed reinstated retail stock room ceiling a coat of brilliant white emulsion. Even if I do say it myself, this room is looking better each time I visit. Perhaps a certain lady will concur... who knows?
Colin (The Fireman) and Alan (Severn Trent) were not available to attend. However, Adam (The Boy) made his entrance to proceedings at 11.00 hrs; perhaps he'll become a stockbroker, keeping this sort of hours...
The scruffy Severn Valley Railway sign at the lower car park entrance has been removed, as agreed following info via Adam. However, the posts are still in situ.
Whilst we were down the driveway, I took the opportunity to acquire some more pallets and heavy cable drums from the electrical wholesaler. I have agreed that we will collect them with the JCB on Saturday morning, giving us first refusal, before handing the surplus to the MPD boys.
With assistance from Adam, I have built a new frame for one of the tatty car park sign A boards; Adam later started the paint job on this by applying white wood primer.
This afternoon, Alan and I have 75% completed another bin surround. Hopefully, this will be finished and placed in service on Saturday.
Colin and I are hoping to commence further production of the plaster of Paris coving sections on Saturday, in order to avoid the really cold weather, and to have them available for fixing as soon as mid-week running ceases.
